Power & Health is a documentary produced in partnership with The California Endowment that examines the sociological and economic forces that determine public health. We investigated how power structures throughout history and today have shaped and continue to impact the well-being of California communities and residents.

As a lead producer, I helped define the documentary’s thesis, cast experts and subjects, and supervised studio production. The film production intersected at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and so we shifted from field production to sourcing archival material. We made the film more of a thesis documentary using the studio interviews for narrative and archival for visual material.
